Two suspected ritualists have been apprehend in Ogun state with human bones.
The suspects, wole oke, 38, and Waisiu Adesina,30, were nabbed on Saturday by police operative attached to the Oke Itoku division, led by divisional police officer. Dpo, CSP Abeni farinre.
Confirming the arrests, the state police spokesperson, ASP Abimbola Oyeymi in a state made available to newsmen at weekend, said the Duo was arrested at Ijebu, Idiaro area of Abeokuta, the state capita, by the police officers on patrol.
The statement noted that Oke and his accomplice, upon sighting policemen,took to their heels with a leather bags containing human bones, adding that the police gave them a hot chase and apprehended them, it was discovered that it contained human bones, Upon interrogation, one of the suspects, wole oke, confessed that they were the bones his sister who died fours years ago.
He further started that one herbalist sent him to go and bring it for money ritual purpose.
The commissioner of police in the state, Ahmed lliyasu, has ordered the transfer of the suspects to the state criminal investigation and intelligence Department SCIID for further investigation.
The police image maker reiterated that the state will not contain ritualists and crime suspects alike as the command was working tirelessly to see their end.
