Sorry, we don’t want to be part of Biafra – Niger Delta chieftain issues warning to agitators

Sorry, we don’t want to be part of Biafra – Niger Delta chieftain issues warning to agitators

- Chris Ekpenyong has asked Biafra agitators not to include the south south region in their plan

- The former governor said the region was not interested in being part of Biafra

Chris Ekpenyong who is a former deputy governor of Akwa Ibom state has issued a warning to Biafra agitators not to force the Niger Delta region into its map.

There has been a rise in the agitation for Biafra especially since President Muhammadu Buhari took over power.

The Indigenous People Of Biafra and the Movement for the Actualisation of a Sovereign State Of Biafra have been agitating for secession and have included the south south region as part of the proposed Biafra state.

This Day reports that the former Akwa Ibom governor called on the pro-Biafra groups to be cautious in their scheming.

Ekpenyong spoke in Uyo where he said Biafra will never be achieved if the Niger Delta region is included in the map.

He also called on Niger Delta militants to stop further destruction of oil facilities in the region to avoid worsening the poverty situation that was already affecting the region.

He said: “The continuing agitation for self-rule by IPOB and MASSOB with their present map of Biafra which includes communities in Akwa Ibom and other South-South states will not succeed because they are not interested in being part of Biafra republic.”

See the baby delivered 107 days after the death of his mother

See the baby delivered 107 days after the death of his mother

There are so many amazing things happening in the world. Some of these things will leave you awestruck as you will be left wondering if you are in a trance or not.

Sandra Pedro’s story will leave you feeling emotional and grateful for life at the same time. She was a 37-year-old woman full of life and ready to take on the world.

She lived in Portugal with her first child, a boy, for about 8 years. When she got pregnant the second time, her joy knew no bounds as she looked forward to seeing her baby. However,

She was warned about the risk of having the baby because of her medical history. Earlier, she had suffered from pneumonia and some heart conditions. At some point she was in a coma after having a kidney surgery.

Pedro despite being warned about the risk of having the baby decided to bring her child to the world. In the second month of this year, the pregnant woman was rushed to the intensive care unit after she had a brain hemorrhage. The doctors did all they could to save Pedro who eventually gave up on the 20th of February.

However, Pedro’s death brought about a shocking discovery. An echo-cardiogram was used on her and it was revealed then that the baby’s vital signs remained positive. The baby’s heart beat was beating normally and appeared strong from all indications.

It was an amazing discovery as no one imagined a baby could stay alive inside its mother long after she had died. This discovery made the family of Sandra and that of the baby’s father to draw a conclusion that the pregnancy should be sustained in order to preserve the baby. The tests results were also sent to the Hospital Ethics committee in Lisbon.

The dead woman was placed on life support in order to keep her alive so the baby growing within her will not die. It was a depressing phase for the family members who had to see her lifeless body but the thought of the unborn child growing within her was the ray of light they hoped to see at the end of it all.

Although putting her on the life support was to ensure the survival of the baby, it also meant the medical staff had to do a lot of work in monitoring the body of Pedro and the baby within her. After 107 days of intensive care, the baby was born as a premature baby boy whose signs were strong enough for a premature baby.

Sandra Pedro’s body was finally released to the family for them to perform the last rite after the life support machines were turned off.

The survival of the baby is considered to be a miracle by many baby.

This occurred in Iselle-Azagba community in the Aniocha South Local Government Area of the state after she had reportedly aborted three-month-old pregnancy.

It was gathered that the deceased, a native of Ikoto town in Ini Local Government Area of Cross River State was discovered to be pregnant for one of the villagers, but her parents insisted that she must do away with the child.

Punch reports that Blessing, who had gone missing for about 10 days, was found dead in a well in the community on Saturday by members of the community’s vigilante group.

A villager, who gave his name as Uche, said the incident had thrown the community into confusion.

“Not too long ago, the victim, who was living with her father and stepmother, aborted her pregnancy.

“It was learnt that she was forced to remove the foetus because the family members were not comfortable with her relationship with the man who impregnated her.

“Since then, she had not been herself both in composure and behaviour until she was found dead,” a source disclosed.

However, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Zanna Ibrahim, said he was not aware of the incident.

Hmnn! Read what popular Nigerian pastor said about MMM (video)

The founder of Omega Fire Ministries International (OFM), Apostle Johnson Suleman, has told his members to disassociate themselves from the popular money doubling scheme, MMM.

Apostle Suleiman said MMM is satanic and that those involved in it are demonic. Speaking during a church service, the pastor said:

"Go and check the founder of MMM. He was a fraudster in America; defrauded people, and that's what you're involving yourself in and you are a Christian, looking for easy way out. Many Christians have gotten involved. If you are involved in MMM, I have to pray for you today. It's not of God. Any quick fix way for money is not of God because some people are being defrauded to enrich some other people.

"Any quick-rich scheme is wrong. In life, everything you get if is not favour from a particular individual. If it's quick favour through a process, you will pay for it later. If it's a person you know that walked up to you and blesses you, take it. That's favour. But a quick business transaction that can bring a return of over 200 person, is not of God, '' he said.
